October 11 – Picture Day and Vaccine Clinic
October 17th, last day of quarter 1
October 18th school is closed for a teacher workday as scheduled on the district calendar.
October 25th school is closed for teacher professional development.
October 31 – Halloween Costume Parade and Competition. Students will be released at 12:30 to return home and put their costumes on. Students return at 1:15 for the annual costume parade and competition.

Good afternoon Koyuk Families. Students in kindergarten through 12th grade will participate in the fall benchmark assessments on Tuesday - Thursday of this week. The middle school and high school students will test from about 10 AM - noon. Elementary students will test in their classroom using a flexible schedule based on meeting the needs of students. Please help us by encouraging your child to do their best. Students should be on time and well rested. We appreciate your support. Please call the school if you have any questions.

Good morning Koyuk Families! School starts on Wednesday, August 21st at 9. Breakfast is served from 8:15 - 8:50. School attendance is very important. Please have students rested and on time for school.
The school will host our annual First Day of School Picnic in the cafeteria from 12 - 1:30. Please join us for lunch with students and staff.

The day has finally arrived, the gym will reopen tomorrow for the regularly scheduled evening gym times. With the new floor comes guidelines that will help protect the floor. Please see the attached flyer. We look forward to seeing everyone in the gym tomorrow evening!


The Koyuk Malimiut high school students have been working hard since August to design, measure, cut, and build the components for the airport building. They are now working on installing the building at the airport for community use.
We are very proud of the craftsmanship, hard work and dedication students continue to demonstrate for the school and community. When you see them, please let them know you are proud of them and appreciate their work for the community.


Reminder: The school will be closed on Thursday and Friday, November 23 & 24th for Thanksgiving.
