📣 BSSD Loyal fans get ready for our first NFHS live streamed event, the 42nd Annual Wrestling & Cheerleading Tournament! Bering Strait School District will be transitioning to live streaming school activities for all school sites through the NFHS Network. Currently, the system is installed in Unalakleet, but stay tuned for updates as we get the NFHS equipment installed across the district.

October Calendar Events:  October 11 – Picture Day and Vaccine Clinic  October 17th, last day of quarter 1  October 18th school is closed for a teacher workday as scheduled on the district calendar.  October 25th school is closed for teacher professional development.  October 31 – Halloween Costume Parade and Competition. Students will be released at 12:30 to return home and put their costumes on. Students return at 1:15 for the annual costume parade and competition. o Competition Categories are:  Infants – 2 years old  Head start ( 3 & 4 years old)  Kindergarten and 1st grade  2nd grade  3rd, 4th and 5th grades  6 – 8th grades  High school – 9 – 12 grades  Adults  Elders

Good afternoon Koyuk Families. Students in kindergarten through 12th grade will participate in the fall benchmark assessments on Tuesday - Thursday of this week. The middle school and high school students will test from about 10 AM - noon. Elementary students will test in their classroom using a flexible schedule based on meeting the needs of students. Please help us by encouraging your child to do their best. Students should be on time and well rested. We appreciate your support. Please call the school if you have any questions.

Good morning Koyuk Families! School starts on Wednesday, August 21st at 9. Breakfast is served from 8:15 - 8:50. School attendance is very important. Please have students rested and on time for school. The school will host our annual First Day of School Picnic in the cafeteria from 12 - 1:30. Please join us for lunch with students and staff.
