Mark the date - November 3rd, Parent - Teacher Conferences from 2 - 6PM. Grade cards will be available for pick up at the conferences.

You may get a ballot in the mail that is INCORRECT that says Tony Haugen vs Edward Jackson.
The CORRECT ballot will be mailed from the state on November 2nd and will show Annabelle Cunningham vs Edward Jackson.
Please vote for either Annabelle or Edward on the CORRECT ballot and mail it back before November 24th (best to mail it the same day you get it).
Please watch your mailboxes for your ballot to vote for the school board member. Ballots must be returned by November 17, 2023.

Fall School Picture Schedule.
All flights have been booked. There are a few modifications in the schedule due to routing that are noted in yellow. Mostly for the southern route.
The northern route has one route that the photographer is on standby Wales to Brevig Mission. The southern route has one standby at the end of the route Elim to Nome.
Be on the lookout for "What Students Should Know in Reading" Informational sheets during the month of August. Each week we will highlight different grade levels from Kindergarten to 5th Grade.

We will have our annual end of the year picnic here in the cafeteria tomorrow following the 11:00 awards assembly. Noon is the projected time of starting to serve lunch,

On Friday (May 5), we will be dismissing students at 1:00pm.
Our Chief Administrative Officer will be addressing all District staff at 1:15, prior to the Reading inservice that begins at 1:30 for all K-5 certified staff.

After a couple of years of Coronavirus caused absence from our village, Grace Baptist Church is back to provide community service and to entertain us.
They will be having a community assembly at 6:00pm this evening in the school gym. Everyone is invited to attend! Jim (Niaquq)
We had to move our state testing from next week to this week and are asking that you try to see that you children get a good nights sleep tonight and tomorrow night in particular. Enjoy your evening. (Niaquq)
We will be having our third quarter Parent/Teacher Conferences from 1-5pm this Friday. (3/31/23).
Students will be dismissed at 12:30. We are looking forward to seeing you Friday!

We have had additional COVID-19 cases over the weekend, including at least one confirmed staff member and possibly one other.
If you get a positive reading for the coronavirus, five days of quarantine are required, plus masking up for another five days.
If symptoms are still present after five days of quarantine, please do not return to school even with a mask.
As was stated last week, if you do not feel comfortable sending your children to school with the number of virus cases still increasing, we understand totally.
